Curso "Urban Heritage Strategies" gratuito de Patrimonio Urbano en los Países Bajos.

El curso se ofrece a profesionales españoles del Patrimonio Urbano, y es completamente gratuito para participantes españoles. La Embajada del Reino de los Países Bajos en España  financia los gastos de viaje y alojamiento, y el Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Ciencia holandés, la matrícula y  el curso de 8 días.

The Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (Ministry of Education, Culture and Science) will organize this year the 8th edition of the Course on Urban Heritage Strategies (UHS). As always we will do so in close cooperation with the two global leading institutes on the theme, being the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) of Erasmus University of Rotterdam and the Section Heritage and Architecture (H&A) of Delft University of Technology.

Am I suitable for this training course? 
If you are engaged in urban management or heritage conservation as a government official, working for the private sector or at an NGO; if you are working as a consultant, advisor or lecturer; when you are an academic researcher in urban management or heritage conservation, then this is the right course for you.

UHS is about positioning heritage as a strategic asset in urban development. Topical themes addressed during the course are: sustainable development and resilience, climate change and water challenges, governance and stakeholder participation. The course aims at cognitive (peer) learning, acquiring hands-on skills and international network building.
 
The course is tailored to professionals in urban management in the public, private and civic domain: city planners, urban designers, restoration architects, university lecturers, community representatives and the like.
 
This year’s course is open for all countries. Be it, that selected participants coming from the ICB-partner countries will pay no tuition fee.
